Travel in a sea kayak from Viña del Mar to Valparaiso with the
impressive view of the coastline, together with an illustrative
walking tour through Valparaiso. We will travel through beautiful
beaches, the wharfs, the famous dam, and a space protected
from the northern storms which is the location where warships would
anchor. These wharfs are considered a great accomplishment in the
port engineering industry due to a depth of more than 100 meters.
In the bay we can watch ships spinning, while tied down only by
an anchor as they turn with the change in direction of the wind.
While on our journey we will be able to make out the
monumental construction of the Federico Santa Maria
University which dates back to 1930, the San Francisco Church at the
foot of Baron Hill, a tall tower with a clock
considered a National Monument which serves as a point for
orientation and still today you can see the ships tied up at
the port. This is where the name Pancho (short for Francisco)
has come from; the name given to Valparaiso by the sailors in honor
of the tower which orients them.
We invite you to accompany us on this trip, allowing you to
visit the picturesque Valparaiso Bay in a unique way.
